My question is what to do before we return to the uk. ? Do we need supervised lft again in the USA before departure? Please help, I’m going out my mind…..
At the moment, the only thing required for UK entry is an unsupervised LFT test after you return, within two days of arriving. This must be from an approved provider, you can't use NHS tests. You will also need to fill in your passenger locator forms up to 48 hours before you land back in the UK.

Has anyone done the attestation form online with Virgin yet? Can you do it for a unvaccinated 8 year old or do we have to print it out and fill it manually?

Hmm, still confused. I know I need to do a supervised lateral flow the day before and a lateral flow test within 2 days of arriving back in UK. Do I need to do any testing once in USA (was there a requirement to test within a couple of days after arriving in USA, has this requirement now gone?).

No, non vaccinated children should test within 3-5 days of arrival, but how you do this is entirely up to you, it doesn't have to be supervised. Everyone else is just recommended to do that test.

I was wanting to know this as well on the virgin site it says you can't upload you vaccine pass ect but doesn't make it clear if the assestation can be done online.

DD age 7 just tested positive via LFT and with new rules means no PCR…. But for proof of a NHS covid travel certificate you need a positive PCR.

Some of the private companies will do one with a positive lateral flow.

How do I get evidence of that? I might just book her for a PCR but again the NHS don’t produce certificates for under 12

It's highly doubtful after her 10 days she will be positive on a lateral. Its easier to just do the supervised LFT.
