Miami for a novice

Hi,

We have 4 nights in Miami to round off a holiday in May 2022. We are staying at the Confidante. Anyone know anything about the hotel or the area? We are not driving but would be happy to get an UBER. Can anyone suggest some good things to do or restaurants and bars to visit.

Thanks 😊

Boat trip at Bayside - either a speedboat or a ferry that goes around the posh houses.

Wynwood Walls for some art

South Beach for sand and some interesting architecture

We are going here at Xmas. I’ll let you know. Hotel looks pretty decent, very nice pool area, very retro, lots of artwork. Look at the Dua Lipa New Rules video on YouTube, it was filmed there.

The Botanical gardens, Holocaust memorial, Wynwood, hire a bike and cycle along South Beach/Ocean Drive. We loved the Big pink Diner but so many places to eat to cater for all budgets

I was looking at the science museum.
We've been on a day trip before so have done South Beach and the boat trip around the homes.

Nice beach in that location. It's north of the main section of South Beach but great beach and without all the noise of the south. My favourite thing to do in Miami is spend a late afternoon at the southern tip - South Point Park - near the Pier where the cruise ships depart. Hopefully you're there on a Sat or Sun. There is a McCormick and Schmicks facing the water where you can sit, eat, drink and watch. Or buy some food and wine from a takeaway and have picnic. Truly lovely.

Hop on , hop off bus let’s you see lots of areas in a short space of time.

As COL41 says “hire a bike” cycle the boardwalk / ocean drive.

Boat tour of famous homes.

Lincoln rd mall for shopping / eating.

We liked Front porch cafe ( beg of Ocean Dr) and le sandwicherie ( just off OD)

Ocean Drive is a must see for all the Art Deco buildings and the people watching is superb ( not cheap tho)
