Debate is good but for or against Tube Drivers strike action is best held on the political forum not my thread in chat

Thanks all xx
Perhaps this polite notice should have been posted on the first page of this thread when comments about the tube drivers salaries were made, or on the second following comments of Marxists unions.

I understand your reasons for wishing to keep the thread purely for information, but you failed to rebuke the remarks made to malign the strikers, so left others with no option but to do so.

Sorry Megaflyer
I just find it strange that people obviously begrudge people earning a wage that they feel is not worthy , and the race to the bottom mentality.
I will not comment anymore on this subject - but I only replied to other comments
Once again sorry

Fantastic weekend thanks! We came down to see Back to the Future the musical. We brought our DS9 with us, his first time in London and let’s just say - he enjoyed himself in M&M world and Harrods!

If you were sorry you would either have apologised and said nothing else, or you would have said nothing rather than trying to continue the debate.

Mind you walking or bus is nicer anyway you get to see far more.

We changed our plans from Saturday to Monday for the West End (for non strike related reasons) but it seems like the strike was pretty patchy rather than all out so didn’t have that much member support
We walked where we could then added in a bus tour to see the sights, it’s been great.

We had a great weekend too albeit our show Only Fools and Horses was cancelled at short notice in Saturday night due to the cast having Covid
The PI at County Hall no longer has parking (it was a few years ago when we last stayed)
but directs you to an underground car park near Waterloo which for all the world looks like it should be in a gangster movie where they take someone to hold hostage - and when we leaving yesterday morning they were indeed filming - but they wouldn’t say what
We did the dungeons Covent Garden and China Town on Friday night .Harrods Selfridges and Canada Goose on Saturday. We did go for a wander in the south bank both nights but Saturday was freezing so we ate at Giraffe and went back to the hotel .
Something special about London always Tubes running or not

Apologies as I was one who deflected from your well aimed post.
It's good to pre warn people about disruption.
Many places in London can easily be walked to and its a good alternative to the tube.
Just use Google maps.
