OOPS!i Need Help with Ticket mistake

We are booked for a 1 week package @ Coronado to include 14 day tix. We planned to upgrade to AP for the remaining 2 weeks at our DVC.

Meantime, I saw The Poly available a few days BEFORE the package began and booked it with points.

It wasn't until today that I looked at the dates and realised my mistake.

Because I want to upgrade to DVC AP, do you think I have a hope getting the tix earlier? If not, what are my options ? T

The package incorporates discounts carried over from 2020 booking and money toward dining and 2 free nights etc so i'm reluctant to give that up. There also seems to be a change in the tickets too and to get a basic 4 day ticket is an extra €415 or so-

When are you going? I don’t believe APs are on sale at the moment

I know some people have previously had luck getting package tickets activated in advance before but so much has changed that I don’t know anymore.

I think I’d see if you can upgrade the ticket portion to Sorcerers AP from day 1. I got a really good deal doing that although my tickets were stand alone ones. In effect I got $666 dollars for each ticket which cost me £399 back in December 19. We went to the ticket centre on Disney Springs. If you could get a similar deal it might be worth losing some of your discounts. It wouldn’t hurt to ask.

We arrive in New York 12/7 staying at Hilton , flying to Orlando on 13/7.

Had originally booked 4 nights at my DVC (13/7 to 17/7) and then a week at Coronado wef 17/7(package).
Thereafter, 1 night concierge at my DVC , followed by 15 nights standard at my DVC.

We cancelled 3 trips and want to use most of our points before we lose them.
When our dates for the POlY came up, I was delighted as we have always wanted to stay there but never had enough points.
We are celebrating my 60th and my DS graduation from college/university. Hence reason for so many nights.
I forfeited my 4 night stay in a value for the POLY, but forgot about the tickets!

I am not as mobile as I was and the whole reason we booked POLY was to be closer to MK for me!

I'm wishing now that I'd booked some nights AFTER Coronado and AKV concierge. I'm kicking myself for being so stupid!

I'll try moving my package dates to 13/7 and if that fails, may have to try and change POLY 4 night dates to old key west or saratoga & do Seaworld and Disney Springs ie NO PARKS AND THEN I'll try and 'swap out' 2 or 3 nights at my DVC for 3 nights at POLY (if available) or even Bay Lake (but we've stayed there before)

What a mess! Don't know how I could've missed something so obvious. This covid ting is driving me around the bend!

Twiggy, doubt i'd get the same deal as you on tickets now and because of the discounts, gift cards, free nights and dining allowance, it doesn't make sense cancelling the package.

I'll try WDTC tomorrow to see what they say.

Lesley if I've read correctly, your issue will be if they insist that your tickets are tied to the package, in which case they won't let you activate them early BUT this was when the "package" would have been Free Dining & you could argue that in this case the Gift card/credit wouldn't really be affected. I've actually found Member Services to be excellent, in the past, with the caveat that this was pre Disney getting rid of a load of them !

Hi Shooby Doo, exactly correct.

Update is that I contacted WDTC 2 days ago (phone call reverted to USA) and was told there is only availability in a king room in the tower at my resort (for my current offer) on the new dates I want. Extra €700/800. King is a Non runner as I'm going with my adult DS.

There is also availability in POR in a royal room for additional €700, but these are quite far from the main food area and I'd find it hard to cope, walking in parks and in /around the resort due to ltd mobility.

Agent also told me AP's not currently available? She didn't say why and doesn't know if they'll come back?
Thats really put the cat amongst the pigeons as the whole point of this was to upgrade my ultimate tix, to AP to allow me access for a month.

I was also going to use it for our trip next summer, but DS will be working then (hopefully) and would rather go Xmas 2022 or 23.
SO I'll go with that.

Today, I noticed what seems to be a new offer (credit of 1 days accommodation) opening up some previously closed rooms.Maybe I didn't notice when I called!
Anyway, I've decided I'm going to call again xmas eve and see what they can do.

If I can't move my package and they wont backdate my tix OR if no AP's being issued I need to carefully consider if I want to go at all.
Surely, as a DVC owner with DVC bookings, they'd have to give me hat option?

If not, I'll be headed straight to the complaints dept and I'm going to have a lot of distressed points for sale!

In desperate need of some pixie dust!

ps, also noted that according to the early 50th annivesary offer, rooms in the gran destino tower were excluded from the offer? Yet thats what the agent offerred me at an extra cost? Doesn't make any sense.

Various rumours around the Ap Lesley, all to do with money funnily enough! So they make more from single tickets & are looking to boost Q4- Q1 profits. The other rumour was around litigation, & no parks being available & AP members not being able to go! Probably a grain of truth in each !
I think new offer has not long released so not dementia We managed to rent out our points from Sept 19 trip but it's not the same as going & we normally use every single one! Worst current news is speculation that the 50% rule is here to stay
What about Swan or Dolphin, I know that you would lose offer but they are half the price of Disney so you could actually win IYKWIM

I’m not convinced that APs aren’t available again. I only upgraded ours to Sorcerer AP on the 11 November. It seems very unlikely they will have stopped selling them again so soon after introducing the new versions. Hope you get better news from a different CM today.

Twiggy unfortunately you were in the lucky few! In a predictable Bob Paycheck way they announced that they were off sale after the ticket offices had closed! Everyone expects them back but it's a case of when, Ol' Bob isn't very well liked!
