90 day covid exemption for child, what do I need?

When I got a positive result for covid I thought a recovery letter was easier. But now its just added to the cost.

I think the reason that you need a signed letter and not use the app is that you can state you have covid without actually having to prove it.

All you need to do is report a posive lateral flow on the gov.website. They then send you a code that you put into your COVID-19 app.

This then will update you NHS App that you have Covid. But we could all lie and do that so that we dont have to do the pre departure test.

I thought you only got a covid recovery pass if you had a positive pcr?

Well thats what i though, but looking at the gov.uk website, if you have a positive LFT then you cant take a PCR test.

Important

If you get a positive lateral flow test result, you do not need to confirm the result with a PCR test. You only need to confirm a positive lateral flow test if:

you're applying for a Test and Trace Support Payment
you're eligible for new COVID-19 treatments
you're asked to do so as part of research
you have a positive lateral flow test on or before day 2 of arriving in England from outside the UK
