BA Flight Cancellations
Hi Dibbers.

I am on a BA 777 to Tampa on 26th February. I imagine they will have sorted out a work-around for the 5G issues by then, but in case they don’t, are the flights being cancelled this week being replaced with alternatives at a similar time? I’m only going for a week so don’t want to lose any time!

Because demand isn't that high at the moment, I suspect that those that were on cancelled LGW-TPA flights are being rebooked onto LGW-MCO or LHR-MCO if there was no LGW flight that day.

LAX is on the airport buffer list where 5G was switched off, TPA isn't. Which is why it could fly today and TPA was cancelled again.

No, 4G is just fine.

It seems to be a standoff between the FAA and the mobile providers at the moment. But you should be fine for LAX since it's on the buffer list which they've agreed to keep for at least six months according to some reports I've read.

And with BA bringing the A380 back into service, you could get moved to that rather than the 777 as they do operate this to LAX.

Don’t think they’ll fly A A380 to Tampa, plane loads are quite light atm…..

No they won't, that was for LAX. MCO can't even support the A380, I'd be amazed if TPA can.
