saratoga springs room choice

Hi just looking for some advice from dibbers about room choices at ssr. We had booked to go back to cbr as we loved it but have just rang disney and changed hotel to ssr as with not having to upgrade dining plan it was not much more. There seemed to be lots more advice on room choices for cbr when i was looking back last year but i cant seem to find much advise on the forums this year. Anyone stayed congress park the end nearest the main pool receptiion dont mind a walk thanks

I think a lot depends on if you have young children who want pool activities.
If you take Congress and Springs out of the equation and its just 2 x adults I would go for the Paddock. With children I would opt for the Grandstand.
If you are not driving then most certainly the Grandstand as you are first on the bus thus guaranteed to get on!
Do not opt for the Carousel! Too far out, no pool etc.

We opted for, and got, a top floor room at Grandstand back in May. It was perfect. Right near to Carriage House and Artists Palette for food and the main pool. Has It's own quiet pool, with daytime drinks refill station and food right outside your door. An interactive splash zone which our kids loved. Hot tub. It's the first bus stop, and if you miss it you can still walk to the Springs in time to get on! It was the quietest hotel room I've ever stayed in. We didn't hear any noise at all (we heard far more noise at our detached villa the following week!). Downside is the furthest away block from DS...but the walk takes no more than 20 minutes and is flat. It's actually a lovely walk tbh. Will definitely request it again

When we stayed in August, we used the Touring Plans Room Request service to try and get a 3rd floor room in one of two specific blocks in the Paddock area, which from our last visit we knew was in a convenient location for walking to Disney Springs, the pool and it's QS cafe, and the Carriage House.

This worked as we got exactly the location we wanted, and we did tend to visit Disney Springs more due to the ease of walking there.

We're here now and staying in the grandstand area. 5 minutes walk to main reception then walk through out the back of the artiste palette and you have the boat to Disney springs or from there walk over the little bridge by the golf course takes 10 minutes max. It's a great area for families.xx

It was our first onsite stay this August and we opted for the grandstand - we are 2 adults and 2 children. It was perfect, right next to one of the quieter pools and a short walk to bus stop and carriage house. We absolutely loved it
