I had mine removed in February but apart from being uncomfortable for a couple of weeks and taking it easy, I didn’t need painkillers after a couple of days. I think if you are in so much pain, I would be calling a gp to make sure there is no infection

I had mine out the same way but after a couple of days didn't need any pain killers. Glad you are ringing the hospital. They can advise but if necessary go in and see them. Don't be fobbed off. You could have an infection.

I had mine removed years ago through keyhole, and whilst uncomfortable afterwards, didn’t stop me moving around, and stopped the painkillers a couple of days afterwards. Definitely call the hospital.

I feel ya!
I was in surgery for 3 hours to have mine out! I was in agony for 2 weeks and off work for 4 in total and then light duties for a week when I went back. Mine was stuck to my liver (or kidney!) And they had to burn it away and make a big hole in my tummy button to get it out as it was soo manky and full of sludge 🤢🤢 I'd ring just to be on the safe side 👍 |

My experience was as the others, uncomfortable but not too painful (the belly button incision felt sore for the whole two weeks, but only cause the muscle healing?) defo reach out to your surgery dept.

[QUOTE=babywebb;13965288]Oh that's rubbish 🙄
My advice is don't rush it and make sure you do pelvic floor exercises as after spending 4 weeks bent forward kinda nursing my poor insides my back gave way and it was agony - apparently (according to my physio) after major stomach surgery we should all be told to do them to keep everything strong and avoid further complications! Good luck with your recovery xxx |
