Is Busch gardens just for thrill seekers?
Evening all,
Looking for some opinions on Busch gardens please - I love big coasters and any kind of thrill ride, but I'm the only one in the family who does. We are all animal lovers. Is it worth driving up to the gardens for the day please? Don't want to go dragging my family around if there's not much else to do. Thanks |

NO, definitely not! It's a beautiful park and much more laid back than Disney. There are lots of thrill rides which my kids ride but I don't. There are also loads of other things/rides to do for people who prefer a quieter life, it is one of my favourite parks and we go 3 times every holiday.

I think it is however when we've been before, my husband did the scary stuff and I enjoyed the animals and they had a really good Latin dance festival on so I loved that! Their shows are usually really good.

Busch Gardens is so much more than just the thrill rides and makes a lovely, much more relaxing day away from Orlando. I would highly recommend booking the Serengeti Safari tour if you do go.

Busch gardens was one of my favourite parks last trip and we went twice. I'm not a big thrill rides fan but I loved cheetah hunt , but it was all the animals made it for me and the interaction with staff there , they were so knowledgable about the animals they were with and happy to talk. Serengeti safari my eldest daughter and her boyfriend did and loved it, got some great pictures. I enjoyed the shows too, was nowhere near as busy as the other parks which I liked.

It's rollercoasters and animals - and I don't like either of those

We felt it was 75% thrill rides, and given how far out it was, we wouldn't go again (I wouldn't do the cable car style chair lift ride, so I was limited in what I could do!). We prob spent half day there. My wife did go no Cheetah Hunt thinking it was a slow tour looking at Cheetahs. That was the highlight. Lucky I did my research!
It is worth a visit, glad we did - my daughter did her first loop coaster and now does everything...but once enough for us - AK for our animal fix and more rides for us (ok, me!) there. |
