Starling card on cruise warning

Currently in the Fjords and just thought it post to say if you have a Starling card you may not be able to use that as your registered on board card. Something to do with declining pre authorised amounts.

Yes - it�s akways been the same with FairFX and Revolut. I register another card, then on the final night I go & pay my bill with the pre-loaded card. They�re fine with this.

We did the same - used our cc but paid with FairFx.

We paid off the balance a few times over the week. Once we had used the FairFx card the first time, they were happy to use it again.

Unfortunately my Revolut worked and the pre-auth took all my money from my account and it took 6 weeks after the cruise for RC to refund 6 weeks without any money

This year I'm using AMEX for the pre-auth then Revolut for final bill last night of cruise.
