This would suggest you can have them in advance and posted out ( although not to the UK), so would imagine you can also collect.
Others on here have made one night throwaway bookings and had them posted to a personal shopper who then delivers to their villa on day of arrival

It is different. If they are shipped out, they are done so a couple of weeks at least before your visit. Often, they don't actually arrive at the resort until a couple of days before your stay.

Having them delivered to somebody local or elsewhere in the US would be an option. But seems silly to pay somebody for that.

Understand now, just thought if someone contacted them in advance to ask to collect the week before, rather than post out, then it's possible.

That's different though. You need to specify a US shipping address a certain number of days in advance (can't remember how many off the top of my head) in order to have them shipped out and UK guests tend to use either their resort or home address, which then automatically defaults to resort delivery for their check in day.

The email that has the op so confused is basically just and automated email that they're reading a bit too much in to. It's just that bit of Disney customer service to reassure you that everything is okay, they're expecting you and everything is ready for you. As I've said before, Disney have no idea when people are arriving in Orlando. The only thing they know is when you're arriving at your resort, and if you haven't given a US address to get your bands shipped to, turn they'll be at the resort waiting. They give out thousands of bands every day, and it would soon cause chaos if people started requesting to pick their bands up X days in advance.
