Excited about Disney
|
5 WEEKS IN FLORIDA! Autism, gymnastics and a little bit of everything! Day 28 - Firearms Adventure!
The boys and Koolie were very excited about today - the firearms adventure!
The boys hadn't been interested in doing the hot air balloon flight with the girls, so this is what the chose instead. It entails 4 hours of shooting various different guns and rifles at different targets. It was $405 for the three of them and includes everything, including all the ammunition and targets. It was about an hours drive south of our villa in Davenport, and they had to be there at 9.45am. I had heard that it can be hard to find, so they left early at 8.15am. It was just as well they did, as they couldn't find the place for ages, and in the end had to flag down someone to ask! They made it on time and it turned out that it was only the three of them booked on today, so they had the instructor to themselves. He was really nice and fantastic with the boys. He put them right at ease and explained everything really clearly. The boys had a full four hours of shooting lot of different guns, with a break in the middle to eat their lunch. It was on a lovely ranch, outdoors but sheltered. The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves, but were absolutely shattered when they got back! All that fresh air, they're not used to it! When they had recovered we drove to the Mall at Millennia to have a look around and more importantly get some cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. The Mall is lovely, but doesn't really appeal to us as it's very high end brands and we're not into all that. We went into The Cheesecake Factory hoping to had a meal, but it was complete chaos and at least 30mins for a table, so we decided to just get some cheesecake to take out. It was very difficult choosing, they all looked amazing! They are around $8 a slice, but they are huge portions - i don't know how anyone would be able to manage one after a main course! Costco was just around the corner, so i popped in to buy a couple of boxes of Salonpas. They do boxes of 140 patches for $14. I find them amazing for headaches and other aches and pains, and can only buy them from a very expensive Chinese supermarket in the UK - so worth stocking up! Early night tonight as tomorrow we are off the the Kennedy Space Centre!

We have been to the fire arms adventure a couple of times the last time because we'd been before we got to pick the gun we'd prefer
It's a great day and that's from someone who most certainly did not want to go |

My DH would absolutely love the firearms adventure, I'll have to look at booking that for him. I still need to go to the Cheesecake Factory, looks lovely.

You can buy Salonpas on Amazon, £20 for a box of 140 so only slightly more expensive than the US.

Those cheesecakes look lovely, I'm not a huge cheesecake lover but hubby is so will definitely be a trip here for him.
Another relaxing easy day x
