Alamo v Alamo Brits?

We always book direct with Alamo to pick up the car at the Dolphin.

I have just checked Alamo Brits and it is £30 cheaper.

What the differences if any?

Thank you

Edited to add I just read this. "You will be requested to present your copy of the Brit Guide in order to qualify for your rental at time of pick up"

Is this necessary?

There is no difference it's just that Alamo allow all types of discounts. The Brits Guide is one of them and you get 10% off. There is a Dibb discount as well that is very similar but only gives one driver.

So there are loads of ways to end up with an Alamo car, for example Andy who advertises on here, Virgin Atlantic, Auto Europe and the list goes on and on.
All of the above will have different prices.

Finally nobody has ever been asked to produce the book.

if someone hadve been asked for the book by now, we wouldve heard about it. if in doubt you can pick up an older copy of it on amazon for a few quid used. but you could always just say that you left the book at home (not that you will need to!)

They won’t. It is a USA wide discount. Can you see someone arriving at an Alamo desk in Alaska being asked for a Florida Guide.
If they did, just rummage in your bag and then say you were reading it on the plane and must have left it . But they won’t as there’s loads of Alamo discount schemes, and the reps won’t know or care about them.

Sorry to drag up an old response PPM but I think that in Anchorage they might ask for "The Inuit's Guide to Igloo Building"

Seriously the Brit's Guide is excellent and we bought it when we first visited in the mid-90s but not one single Dibber has ever been asked for it.
