Previous day - Day 7 - Magic Kingdom



We started today heading to Disney Springs to meet up with two friends of mine from the Cultural Representative Program. We caught up over Starbucks and Ghiradelli ice cream, which was lovely. We then had a wander around Disney Springs, including the Co-Op, before heading our separate ways.

Justin and I went to the Harley Davidson shop on the 192 so he could drool over motorbikes that he will (probably) never own!

We went back to the villa briefly, got changed and then headed to Hollywood Studios.

We took a look at the new (to us) Grand Avenue area, then went to our dinner reservation at Mama Melrose – watch the video above to see what our thoughts were on the food and the experience.

We were in and out so quickly that we had some time to spare before Fantasmic so we had a look at the hand and foot prints in front of the ex-Great Movie Ride, then went over to the Star Wars Launch Bay.

Justin had an encounter with a Stormtrooper and was SO thrilled with his comeback that he’s still talking about it months later! You can see the interaction in the video

We got ourselves some snacks then got our seats ready for Fantasmic – which is probably my favourite nighttime show at WDW. It wasn’t quite dark enough, though, which was a shame!

After Fantasmic we managed to get ourselves a place for the Star Wars fireworks, which we hadn’t seen before and really enjoyed. Justin is a huge Star Wars fan so he was very happy with them!

That ended our day nicely, so we headed home for the evening.
Tomorrow we head to Boma for breakfast, then to Animal Kingdom!
