The only one I’d avoid is River Island as it’s so busy. All other areas are great. My favourite are the golf villas in West village

What area are you requesting? We have just booked a standard room but was thinking about asking to be near the water park.
Great, thanks for that. The River Island rooms are more money than the rest of the site so you would have to 'upgrade' I think. Would love to be in walking distance of a pool but probably won't be! Thinking of requesting the West Village or the East Village if we can be in the buildings next to the small pools there. As long as we are not facing the 192 I should be happy!

I’m thinking the west village looks like it’s got a lot going on. We are only there 3 nights so would be good to be near a pool. We are IHG members so will email them my number and ask to be away from the 192 as i agree, one of those rooms would be a nightmare! We are there from 17-21 August then we join a cruise from Tampa.

Yes, we are IHG members too, but couldn't get anywhere near the Virgin Holidays price. We are checking in on the 20th August so will just cross paths! We have a 2 day park hopper plus ticket so going to do 2 park days and 2 water park days, so we won't have much time in the resort I don't think. Might bung our swimming gear in the car in case we leave a park mid afternoon & fancy a swim before going back to a park in the evening!

We arrive on Friday so I emailed the hotel to request a room near a pool and not on the 192. They emailed back to say we are in the East village. Is that good or bad? Seem to remember reading some reports about the east smelling of animals etc?
