Looking to book a cruise for Jan 19
We are thinking about a cruise. We have booked 5 weeks in Orlando ( flight only so far) from 3rd January. So was thinking about a cruise, never been on one before,so a complete novice.
The plan atm is a week or so in Orlando, we have 5 days on a disney ticket plus wp. So want to do a couple of Disney days to see the xmas decs. We have been many times to Disney so have no need to see and do everything in the parks. We also want a road trip to see other places in Florida. So a week in Orlando. Seen a cruse from Tampa for 7 nights on Carnival Miracle. Then go down to Miami via St petersberg , up the other coast taking in FL and Kennedy, Daytona and St Augustine. Back to Orlando for 1 week do Universal and shop, probably stay in a villa. My questions are, how much spends do we need on the cruise, we are not big drinkers, so will probly have a cocktail or beer in the day and a glass of wine with evening meal. How much for trips excursions etc.Would $500 cover it was going to prepay the tip gratuity. |

Any reason why you're looking at that particular cruise/ship? Is it the itinerary, or price etc? Just wondering as personally I'd have other preferences- Oasis of the Seas is usually sailing from around there, and there's plenty of choice of nice ships from Miami or FLL. Are you travelling with kids? Do you like to be active or relax?
Your question about the $500 depends on what trips and excursions you'll want to do. The ones sold through the ship will be a little pricier but are good for first timers. You can spend $100s a day in port or nothing- so it's hard to answer. If you go with the excursions through the cruise line, you can pre purchase and pay for them in advance. Edited at 03:38 PM. |
