Looking for somewhere similar to St Augustine

Hi

We’re staying at WDW. I would like to visit somewhere on the Gulf coast that has lots going on shops, restaurants, charm similar to St.Augustine within a 2 hour drive of Disney. We’ve been to St.Petes before, can anyone recommend anywhere else?

There’s no where else quite like St Augustine!

Not on the coast but Mt Dora is quite quaint.

Not been to St Augustine but the Main Street area of Dunedin (a few miles north of Clearwater & on the coast) is nice with an 'old Florida/America' feel; some shops & restaurants.

More quirky than quaint but a brilliant day out.

Thank you for your replies. I have decided on Tarpon Springs, with a boat ride to find dolphins and a few cakes and a meal at Helios.

If you are going to Tarpon Springs you could visit Dunedin as well as they are not far apart. It has a Scottish/American history and the town and surrounding areas are really pretty.
We used to stay at a small town called Holiday and we used to visit Dunedin and the state park frequently.
