Nearest hotel to East Midlands - recommendations

Can anyone recommend a hotel airport that is really close to East Midlands?

There is a Hilton and radisson blu I think, both aren’t in walking distance I believe, a couple of minute on a transfer bus.

theres a travelodge at Donnington services area, which is at the start of the approach road to East Midlands airport (not even 5 minutes drive away).

Jurys is onsite at the airport (I think it was a Thistle hotel when I stayed there a few years ago). That is about 5 minutes walk from the terminal building.

The others (Premier Inn, Radisson Blu, Holiday inn express) are sited on a purpose-built business park, again on the approach road to the airport from junction 24.

Ive booked a premier inn for our holiday this month, we have also stayed in the Hilton that was lovely too

We are staying at Hilton East Mids this weekend for 2 nights so can report back for you if you want.

Have previously stayed at Jury Inn (was called something else) and my Mum stays at Radisson Blu a lot before her flights. Can't be bad if she is a repeat customer. We walked to the terminal from Jury but think the others need a bus or taxi transfer. Hilton is not on site, not really close by.

Not going away but we have a big family celebration weekend and this is central to everyone as just off M1. We only live about 45 mins away but made sense to stay so can drink and relax.

It would be great to hear back from you ref the Hilton, but I have stayed at the Thistle before and a previous reply said that it is now the Jurys Inn. It was very dated when we stayed but I would imagine its had a make-over now? It was really close to the airport and thats what we are looking for.

We are trying Italy next year and the flight is before the sparrows are even up so we need to be as close as possible

I stayed there for 2 weeks a couple of years ago with work and it was good. Rooms clean and modern. Bar food pretty decent. Excellent Breakfast. Small pool/jacuzzi and gym. Not walking distance to airport though. About 2 miles I think.

Thanks, its probably better to stay at the Jury then. I have to get a teenager out of bed in the morning
