I’ve been many times & have always had a great time,in fact I said to my husband, the other day,we need to go back to Benidorm,as we haven’t been, for a couple of years.
That statement smacks of snobbery, but if it wasn’t meant that way,I apologise.
So what opinion, would people have of me,if I say I always enjoy Benidorm?
I would then ask, would that opinion then change,if I say we have also holidayed in
Australia,a few times,Bali,China,Malaysia,a few times,Thailand, quite a few times,Vietnam,Hawaii,India more than once,I could go on,but my point is,if people enjoy Benidorm, then why on earth, shouldn’t they say so.
Just curious

I wasn't being snobbish I promise you I just said I haven't been there.
However there seems to be a lot of people on here who look down on anywhere in Europe that's what I meant.
One of my friends goes every year to a the hotel used on the TV programme and has a great time.

We stayed 5 miles outside Betws-y-Coed a couple of weeks ago, and found it pleasantly surprising to hear the Welsh language being spoken so much. We live in South Wales and have, sadly, very limited ability of speaking Welsh, although DD is more capable than the rest of us.

I also remember a few years ago being in a local village pub and a new neighbour complaining loudly that he found it difficult to understand 'us', his new neighbours as we didn't speak English correctly!

The so called newspaper that this story started life in, scrapes comments and stories from Facebook regularly and the people who work there are not journalists, just people who search the internet hoping to stir up hatred.

I am pretty disgusted that they have used the musing of an 81 year old person, of whom they know little, to create click bait on their grotty stories to get people to see adverts.

...the even sadder thing is, that we often fall into their trap.

Salou, Benitses, San Antonio (3 times) and Rhodes on a Club 18-30 for me. Tbh wouldn’t go to those places now as my tastes have changed but they were brilliant times.

Correct and just for the change of flight nothing else. But don't let the truth get in the way, when a nasty journalist puts words into people's mouths.

I don’t understand, people turning their nose up at Europe, there are some lovely places to visit.after all,the world doesn’t start & stop in Florida.
My apologies
