We have just used the China Visa Company.
They are based in Manchester £199 for a two year visa, multiply visits. Plus £8 return postage This is a ten day turnaround, but was just over a week before we received our passports back. Easy to complete the forms, posted them off, had a slight hiccup with the hotel, so had to get a different type of hotel confirmation, emailed it straight back to them... passport back shortly after. |

Use the one recommended on the Chinese Embassy's Website. If you do a postal application the cost is £175. It's multiple entry and valid for 2 years. Details here.

Sorry to hijack your thread OP, but has anybody used the group visa that I've been reading about? It's not on the official Chinese embassy site as far as I can see, which makes me a little wary but it is only £80 rather than £150/175 each for the official one. We will only be visiting for two weeks max, so don't really need the multiple entry two year one.
TIA |

Do you have to fill out your application form before you go to your appointment?
It’s really not clear what I have to take to my appointment, the website is not clear at all. There only seems to be a checklist for postal applications only. Edit - can your travel agent fill it out and do it all for you? However my travel agent is in America and I’m in UK Edited at 10:28 PM. |
