Do I need to go to 2nd hotel first?

Hi, we will be staying in the contemporary first with no tickets, we are then switching to the boardwalk, our tickets are included with our boardwalk stay, I was hoping I could check in on line and just walk to magic kingdom our last morning at the contemporary without having to check in in person at the boardwalk, we will already have a magic band, would this work?

Will be fine. Both MBs and tickets are linked to your MDE account so one you are checked in you're good to go.

I'd have thought you'd have to check into Boardwalk to activate your magic bands to include the park tickets that are part of your Boardwalk package?

We've done something similar (just different WDW hotels) and had to check into our 2nd hotel before tickets/dining plan etc were activated.

My package was booked in the UK though, in the US it's different and you would be able to go to parks using magic band as they are posted to US guests.

OP is checking in, just on-line. Will be fine. No need to physically go to hotel, unless you want to pick up the actual MBs

Thank you for your replies, I've switched to club level in the wilderness lodge, do you think they check if my tickets will work on my wilderness magic band before we head to the park that morning? I've never stayed club level and have no idea how it all works just thought it would be a nice extra while we have no dinning plan and park tickets.

I'm sure they would, but really shouldn't be necessary. Once they are all visible and linked in MDE everything should work fine. Have a good trip

We've just had this same issue last week. Stayed 2 nights at POR without tickets then moved to BC with tickets and dining plan. We went to early morning magic on the morning we were due to officially check in at BC. I'd already checked in on line but the tickets weren't automatically activated when we tried to enter MK. It was soon resolved at guest services, but hey had to call BC to activated the package before we could use, so you could probably ask concierge to do this at the contemporary for you beforehand. In hindsight that's what we should have done, but i assumed ( wrongly) that checking in online automatically activated your tickets.
