I have the regular account (not the prepaid debit one) and I haven't used it abroad yet but I got it because DS has one and has used it in many countries and says it's fab. I love it here. So easy to use.
Starling is getting a good name as well.

I’ve just signed up and it all looks good so far, in the process of switching it to be my main account!

Just back from 3 weeks in Florida with a split stay, Monzo was great and accepted everywhere. We also have a Starling card as well, same as Monzo but with unlimited withdrawals, if you want to use cash.
Both cards are great

PS - Mine is a regular bank account with both, no issues, no need to top up. Just use it like a regular bank account, converts your purchase into USD at the Mastercard rate for that day.

I've had a monzo for over a year now. Used it in Florida on 2 trips and used it in Japan. no exchange fees makes a huge difference too. I always pay for hotels and everything on it basically

Same here. I only keep a balance of around £200 on it just in case it's lost/stolen/cloned but topping up is very easy. Very happy with the card.

It’s brilliant I have topped up whilst in the queue at a checkout and then paid with the topped up balance

Do they work on planes? I had a debit card once that wouldn’t work on a plane!
