Argh that’s so annoying about the returning esta line being so much better - we will all have returning ESTAs, apart from my daughter as she needs a new passport before we go 😩😩

Same here. All 4 of us have had previous estas and were last there in 2016. But since then son has had to renew his passport so am reading this as meaning we are unable to use kiosks? Or at least he is so unless we wish to abandon him for an hour, we are in the big q? Having said that, am leaning towards Aer Lingus flights this time so hopefully Dublin q not so bad.

Hmmm, I wonder if they would make an exception if it’s only a child (age 9) who doesn’t have a previous ESTA? Probably not!

Or in my case, a "child" who is 27 and six foot five?

It doesn't matter. As long as she has entered on an ESTA before she will count as a previous ESTA entry. My passprt was new since our last US visit and I was sent down the returning ESTA visitor line.

Oh really? So it doesn’t have to be the same ESTA she travelled on last time?

Definitely not. We hadn't been to US since 2013 so were all on new ESTAs.

Ah right that’s good to know! So it’s more of a “travelled with ANY previous ESTA before” line, than a “travelled on your current ESTA before line”?! That will help immensely!
