Golf course recommendations

Visiting orlando soon, staying in Davenport, anyone recommend good golf courses, there are 100 to pick from so would like some help to pick a few from people who have played and enjoyed them. Our handicaps are 11 and 14. Going for 2 weeks so will probably play 6 or 7 courses

Can recommend Highland Reserve and southern Dunes as well as all the Disney courses although the Disney ones are very expensive.

My DH would highly recommend Orange County National where there are two fantastic courses.

Another vote for Southern Dunes as you can also get a reasonable meal in the club house afterwards.

Another vote for Orange County National courses.
They also have a fabulous practice facility as well.
Celebration Golf Course is another excellent track.

Both Panther Lake & Crooked Cat @ Orange County National are great. We really enjoyed the newish course - Championsgate Country Club (close by Omni National & International but better in our opinion). Other favourites with a bit of a drive are Dunsdread (downtown Orlando) & The Club @ Eaglebrook (Lakeland). You will be spoilt for choice, the courses at Orange Lake Resort are usually on our list along with our all time favourite of Hawks Landing @ The Marriot (Lake Buena Vista). Usually book through golfnow.com.

Hi as others have said, southern dunes, champions gate, celebration, Waldorf , Palm and magnolia nice but a bit overpriced. Our favourite place is grand cypress , we have stayed there several times and from we drive through the gates feel relaxed and ready to play. 3 nines and another 18 hole based on jack Nicklaus favourite links holes. Check out golf now and tee times usa for deals. Golf shopping PGA store and golf galaxy on Turkey lake rd. Taking clubs we take ours free as hold luggage and fill pockets with underwear, shorts, spare trainers etc, and take remainder of clothes in cabin bag.
