We have gone with a Quooker Flex in our new kitchen. Being handed over next week so haven't actually used it yet. But others we know thing they are great and that convinced us to go for it. Not cheap though.

I love my quooker. As we don't have limescale, the filter only needs changing at 3-5 years. We've had ours 4 and hasn't needed changing yet, that said, they are quite expensive when they do need doing. The quooker gives water at boiling point - not all do. If you are a tea lover, this is important !

I’m currently visiting my brother and he has a quooker. It works well for a tea and coffee and seems quite safe. You need to twist and press it to get the hot water.

We had a quooker fitted when we replaced our kitchen last year and I love it. Instant access to boiling water for cooking etc. We live in a hard water area so have a 2nd tank to soften the water and we have to replace the filter every 9 months which is an extra cost. It also means most of the storage space under the sink is lost, but hey, no kettle on the side!
I don’t think it’s made any difference re electricity because DH works from home so was always boiling the kettle. I saves him time though. I was concerned about DS using it, he’s now 12, but he now makes himself hot drinks when he likes and it’s probably safer than him lifting a boiling kettle. I have a friend whose had an insinkerator for several years and she loves it. If you do choose one just make sure you consider the on going maintenance costs, they are quite high and far more significant than any electricity costs/savings.

We have a Franke Omni- the best purchase I made for the kitchen. Couldn’t live without it now.

We have an Insinkerator - wouldn’t be without it. Takes up hardly any space in the cupboard and no safety issues at all.
To be honest I wasn’t that keen on getting it when we had a new kitchen last year, mainly due to the cost, but DH really wanted it, as he drinks loads of tea and wanted it for the convenience of not having to keep boiling a kettle lol, but I have to say it is the best part of our kitchen. Really handy for quickly boiling veg and pasta etc.

Had one in the house we bought, don’t like the maintenance cost but find it a great help for cooking and soaking dirty pans.

We’ve had one for about 4 years now, absolutely love it. I can’t remember which brand but insinkerator does ring a bell. We change the filter every 6 months, so the costs are not expensive but the convenience of it is fantastic. You really won’t regret it.
