Flight trackers blow my mind :)

I recently sat in Aberdeen departures & tracked our BA flight coming into land. We had a perfect view of the landing (and the brakes being slammed on)

Also we are on the flight path to Stansted & sometimes we can almost see the pilots undies as some planes go over very low. I've been known to run & log on to FR24 to see what plane it is and from where

Hope he's had a great time Sam, I love flight tracking especially when Megan's away, she's got a mega holiday in september her and her boyfriend are going to LA, Vegas and New York... You're only 21 once right lol, I will be requesting all the flight numbers and details to keep an eye on them xx

We just tracked Bil and Sil flight to Orlando ... feels like we're going with them...

We've got Plane Finder on our phones and like others ...spend time watching and tracking planes whilst sitting in the garden ...

Strangely enough plane finder just advertised that they now have a3d app ... so very tempted!

Are we the equivalent of the dibbs train spotters ?

I used this to track our return flight coming in to land in Lanzarote at the end of March.
It can however have its downside, we were flying out to Rhodes last July for our sons wedding and he was tracking our flight when it just disappeared from the screen causing him and his fiancé a bit of panic as her parents were on the same flight (they were already out there).
He phoned TUI and Manchester airport but couldn't get through to find out what was going on
He ended up phoning our daughter which sent her into a panic, he said it reappeared about 20 mins later heading back to Manchester

We both love flight trackers, but some airports (lanzarote being one) also have webcams so you can see the landings and takes offs as well, that’s quite cool, or am I just a bit sad x
