Why do I always seem to set off airport security?

Both my dd and I get pulled after using the body scanner thing...

Dd always has her back re checked ... mine is my left leg...

Neither of us has had surgery, extra metal on clothes jewellery etc ... but always the same place...

Dh gets pulled all the time and no idea why... he divests himself of all metal, belts anything he can think of and still is extra checked...

DS on the other hand sails through and is very amused watching ...

I'd rather the extra checks though so don't mind at all.

I don't often get the beep, although once I did and the officer rolled his eyes and groaned "fitbit" at me. I learned my lesson so next time took it off and the officer rolled his eyes at me and said "you don't need to take that off"... You can't win! Leave it on now and haven't set anything off since!

My son has a titanium plate in his cheek and never sets off the alarms! He does carry a copy of an X-ray showing it but has never needed it .
Me ... however, tend to set off the alarms. One security guy asked me if I took Iron tablets regularly as that may set it off. I do.
But I honestly can’t see that being the case. I think he was just taking the wee!

I usually don’t but last time I did. Then had to go through the second scan thing and it showed up my chest area it was definitely my bra but hey insisted I had a full pat down.
My youngest also set it off though and he had nothing really that would have set it off? Just the Velcro loops on his shoes but surely that wouldn’t have been enough.
