beaches near miami

Hi, looking likely that we will be flying into miami next year, so thinking of doing a couple of days at the beach nearish miami to break up the trip.
our usual beach of choice is clearwater which we love- so the question is can anyone recommend a beach that has the same vibe as clearwater in regards to restaurants and shops semi near to miami.

Why don’t you stay on/near South Beach if you’re flying into Miami. Been twice and loved every minute

Sorry if I have confused the issue, Sarasota is way over the other side, can never decide which we like best so alternate!
Delray is just fine.

Not as built up as Clearwater but we love to visit the Key Biscayne beaches especially Crandon Park which really is a fabulous beach. miamidade.gov/parks/crandon.asp

Fort Lauderdale or vero but that’s 2 hours drive.
