Why do I always seem to set off airport security?

Anyone else have this?

I ALWAYS set off the metal detector and had put it down to my bra underwires after reading that M&S bras are renowned for it. On our April trip I had finally remembered to buy a non-wired bra (most uncomfortable day of my life, never again...) so was feeling rather smug after meaning to do it for years.

Alas, no, I was still setting them off, but this time every single time they focused on my wrist, moving the hand held scanner over my watch!

DH on the other hand, has more metal in his arm than probably the rest of the plane put together and NEVER sets it off - I guess it's just obvious on the Xray machine.

Anyone else have this all the time?

Me too, every single time! Technology also breaks down when I’m near it, to the point where my husband and children won’t let me stand near the tills in shops when they’re paying because they know it will stop working...
I think I was abducted by aliens and something was implanted in me 😉

Went through security at Guangzhou, China recently and watched every single person set the metal detector off. Was wearing a skirt and no tights and she still ran her hands down my bare legs. Did wonder if she needed her eyes tested but guess no one every escapes without being frisked.

My son had Nuss procedure last year so he has a metal bar and 2 plates in his chest and he didn't set the alarm off - I printed out all his hospital stuff just in case (although surgical steel shouldn't set off the detectors).
