Upgrading Disney tickets to Annual Pass

Hi all!

Does anyone know If I upgrade my 14 day tickets that are part of my Disney package (booked direct with Disney) to an annual pass will it affect the Dining plan that I got as part of the package or just stay the same?

Also is it best to upgrade at guest services or before I go? I can�t seem to find much on their website about Uk info on prices etc.

We upgraded at MK in August, it didn�t affect our ADRs or FPs.

Make sure you check prices though, we were quoted a few different prices, MK matched the lowest.

i noticed that they gave me the option through the MDE app. It was around $600, i don't know if that is a good deal or not

Thank you! Where did you find that price on the app? I�ve looked on mine but it just comes up with the tickets I�ve booked for next time?

it was only in the last few days i noticed it, under tickets i think on front page. It's obviously disappeared now

It only shows once you�ve activated your tickets entering a park.

You cannot upgrade before you go, also you won�t see the upgrade price until you are there. We looked into it this time but with the recent price increase we would need to go three times in 12 months to make it worth it.

Your dining plan is linked to your onsite hotel stay, not to your tickets. You need to buy tickets as a package with the onsite stay in order to qualify for the free dining plan, but otherwise the DDP and tickets aren't linked The DDP runs out the day you check out, not on the day the tickets run out.

As far as I'm aware you can't upgrade until you get over there.

That's interesting. It implies Disney now have a standard price for the UK tickets now (I assume you had UK tickets and not the US tickets?) and therefore can automatically calculate the upgrade price.

What they did mention however was that sometimes the 14 day ticket comes up as a "Select" ticket on the app which is not the same value so its important to check that the value is as expected. Mine was $490 approx last week for the 14 day ultimate when I used it towards my AP renewal
