Watched the filmed version - loved it! Thought it was refreshingly different from other musicals in so many ways.

We saw it in London, and had tickets to see it again the weekend before lockdown started. Absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed the Disney+ version with the original cast, so glad it was recorded with them.

Ive seen in the west end
didnt know any of the story/plot before hand & tbh this didnt help as its not easy to follow very fast paced... Some of the casting was confusing as well.. same guy played Lafayette & Jefferson ... confusing to me.. personally i thought it was 'ok' but maybe being a 51 year old bloke so maybe not the target audience... my 15 year old is near obsessed with it.. |

I will answer my own question 😆 I only seen it on Disney+ I found it ok but not as good as people have made out I thought the acting ok and soundtrack a bit different one minute they rapping the next they singing. If I could I like to see it on stage just to compare.

I saw it live in London twice and it definitely isn't the same watching it on Disney+
Once musicals open back up I would suggest anyone who hasn't seen it to go! They run a ticket lottery where you can win tickets for £10 so I suggest people to try that! Thats how I saw it

I watched it once and was pretty bored first half and had no idea what anyone was saying. It was all a bit fast for me i struggled to keep up. Enjoyed the second half more then decided to watch it again the day after. After that i was hooked and i now think its the best thing i’ve ever seen. We have the soundtrack on every day in this house. Cannot wait to see it live when the theatres open back up

I lasted about 15 mins and gave up, love musicals but this was not my cup of tea.
However - do like the song "You'll Be Back" ! |
