Nassau tours question
We are doing a 5 day cruise on the Disney Dream for the first time in October 2017, and are pretty much going to spend the time just getting to know the ship and relaxing, rather than doing lots of Port Adventures.
However, I have a couple of questions, if anyone could offer assistance/advice? 1. Can we rent a private cabana on Castaway Cay, or is there sufficient shaded areas with loungers? DH not a big fan of sun and sand for more than half an hour at a time! 2. We would like to do a guided tour of Nassau, and out of the ones that Disney offer (I know they are run by other companies, not Disney), we have narrowed it down to 3 - Ardastra Gardens & City Tour, Discover Atlantis Tour, and Explore Nassau Sightseeing Tour. Which of these would people recommend? Thanks in advance! |

You can hire a Cabana on Castaway Cay. They are very expensive and usually sell out fast so be ready on the day your booking window opens. We haven't done any of the tours but Atlantis is amazing and very worth seeing. We go in August for the 6th time and are doing the chocolate factory tour this time for a change 😀

We had a cabana at Castaway Cay. It's expensive if there are only two of you but if a family it's not bad value. You have fridge, soft drinks, water, fruit, a safe and somewhere to change. There are sofas and loungers and a set of those inflatable tire things to use on the water. They also provide cold flannels in the fridge and a pile of towels. If you want alcohol you have a paging button and the runners go get drinks for you (they are extra). They will even come and get you to take you to lunch by golf buggy.
As for Nassau - these days we stay on the ship - plenty to do. Edited at 10:28 PM. |
