But here is my two penny worth...

People hop because they want to cover as much ground as they can in a short time. I like you am not a hopper, but we have often returned to the resort for a swim and then gone back to a park later that day. It is difficult with a wee one, cause they can get tired and irritable, so you will know how much gas he has in his tank.

They other strategy is to do 3 fastpass in park 1, and then book 3 more for park 2 etc etc

With a 9 year old son, I would suggest a bit of character interaction is called for. He can get his autograph book signed also
