Delta
Hi
Has anyone flown out from Heathrow with delta? What are the planes like? Do they have the same entertainment as virgin and ba? Is the food any good? Thanks |

We have just flown to Atlanta and back with Delta from T3. They are certainly my preferred airline and I have used them several times before. The stewards are older, very experienced, courteous and helpful.
The aircraft were Boeing 767 er and whilst the one flying out had a small ice screen, the return one was much bigger. These aircraft have been refurbed. The choice of films etc were very good and we had very good sound through our own earphones. As is generally the case with the US, The food was better on the way out than the return. Certainly it was as good as their rivals. I would reccomend them above anyone not using Dreamliners.

The last time we flew Delta was in 2014 to Atlanta on the outward journey on a 767, we were in economy comfort which was great. On the way back we flew via Detroit and the plane from Detroit to Heathrow was awful and the crew were abysmal.

We flew with Delta last year from Dublin. Planes were excellent, food good and entertainment great. Staff the best we have flown with.
Have also flown with Virgin, Aerlingus and United. Delta would be my number one choice. I hated Virgin. Last year my wife pre ordered the Asian Vegetarian which I can recommend if you want something different and a little Indian. The plane was the A330.

I'm another big Delta fan and avoid Virgin on the holiday routes ( the sad thing is they are far better on the NYC etc routes ... they just don't want to on MCO and LAS)
