Early PAT times full already?

First timers going on the DCL Med cruise 9 Sep from Barcelona.

According to our FB group the only time left is 2.30pm and we haven't even got to Silver check in day yet, never mind us newbies! They are saying they have never seen this before.

Do you reckon DCL are holding back some early slots for those who can't check in yet?

Someone also said once it gets to 1pm anyone can board - but if that was the case why have a 2.30 time at all?

Both times we sailed from Barcelona the last 2 years they were allowing open boarding from 12 - I wouldn't worry :-)

If you are going on a longer cruise then the early boarding is a bit irrelevant as you have plenty of time on the ship.

When you only have 3 nights people want the early slot.

It seems a little odd. Our cruise (WBTA after yours) had slots open from 11am onwards when I checked in on Saturday (Gold checkin)

Gill .. don't worry about what PAT you get. Choose whatever one is there and go to the port for around midday. You'll check in at the port and walk straight onto the ship probably as open boarding will generally be in place by 12:30.

If you go earlier, you'll be hot and bothered, queuing outside, then queuing again after check in for your boarding group.

Honestly, take it easy and turn up at midday.

PAT is a Disney cruise thing - port arrival time - and most Disney cruises have groups on various sites. Other cruise lines don't tend to from what I've seen.

No we have never had PAT times with any other cruise lines! You just turn up and queue to check in then board, usually around lunctime!

Thanks guys 38 days to go and I'm getting first time nerves.

Even the sail pass from RCI mentions that some stuff should be in my package of documents which I don't have yet either :S

Usually comes in an email, I got mine last week so perhaps you will get yours this week. There will be a suggested time for boarding, but it's just that, a suggestion. We normally go about 11.
