I have no idea. But I do know we were quick off the mark whilst Europe engaged in Political posturing and dithered. That cost them dear. However I wish no ill on anybody or any Nation.

I do know though that the whole World is full of 9 o'clock critics and that I cannot abide. The UK Govt took brave decisions, some were right some were wrong. That's life. But they made decisions whereas some Countries didn't.

My view is itís a pandemic, decisions had to be made quickly and some in hindsight were wrong, both in this country and others.
And the U.K. did dither , shutting the border to India being one of them.

And plenty of criticism of the Welsh govt on this forum!
Every country has suffered.

I recall twitter was very smug from the #FBPE types when we were going through our peak.

Twitter is a very unreliable gauge, the pile-on culture is distrurbing.

I don't disagree...I see both sides. Neither are beneficial. Especially when it's radio show hosts or journalists liking tweets of others misfortune to 'prove' their opinions.

And on this very thread. Very strange.

Anyway so long as tory ministers are making millions with VIP contracts to friends all is good.

You are joking here aren't you ?

UK was one of the last places to impose restrictions causing 1000s of deaths.

I was talking about vaccines not restrictions.

If we had done exactly the same as European neighbors and mirrored their restrictions wouldnít we be in the same situation as them. As we have been told by some in Europe when we started our vacation schedule it is a marathon not a sprint. We are just in a different part of the race some countries in Europe are seeing their fatality rates going up as well as their hospitalisation rates while the U.K. drop
