I know what you mean but there again my Wife calls me a Bah Humbug about Xmas!

By choice I would put the artificial tree in the bin.

Have you considered Christmas eve and day in a hotel to keep everyone together. I know a family who done this at Radisson Blu Leeds, used the pool during the day, evening meal in miller Carter in the Light a quick walk around the xmas market. Back to their room for drinks and snacks and presents the next day.

OP. Stair furniture looking good and shows they are not that far off completion now. That never gets installed too early due to the possibility of damage by Tradesmen carrying gear up to the 1st floor.

I do like that window by the way, very nice.
