Passport Renewal Times

If it stays on documents received for a while its because is the new digital system.
If it goes into processing then it is the old system where it is manually checked.
The manual way takes slightly longer although my sons photo was rejected this time so added a few days on.
Think average time at mo is about 24 days there is a page on twitter called uk passport waiting that updates every couple of days xx

Applied 6th Nov, received old one 11th Nov.
Approved 25th, sent out 26th, not received it yet.

Just an update for anyone who might be waiting on a passport.

Timeline was as follows:

Applied: 9th November
Counter Signature: 9th November
Old Documents Received: 18th November (although royal mail tracking states 11th November)
Approved, Printed & Sent: 1st December
Delivered: 3rd December

Passport was delivered through my post box with no signatures required. Not sure if it was from TNT but I had read a lot in the news about TNT taking a long time to deliver.

We haven't had the old passport back yet, but not too worried about that!

I’ve not been asked for any counter signature now worried this isn’t right?
Just asked for old passport which I have sent and is received.
Photo was rejected so I got a professional one done yesterday and that has been approved immediately.
Application now says approved so assume that is ok. Now got 2 weeks to hopefully receive it!

Update must be ok now been despatched. Applied nov 23rd so that’s not too bad at all . Fingers crossed
