We booked our ( now unneeded) day2 tests with simplytestme . I've just had an email from them saying we can return them for a refund, or hang onto them for future use. They are also goi g to start providing pcr tests. They were the cheapest for lfts and with their refund policy they're a better option than most

Meanwhile, here in South Africa I couldn't get over how 99% of people are wearing masks outdoors, whether there are people around or not.
When we got on the ferry to Aaron a few months back, everyone sat down in the cafe and promptly removed masks. At this point a staff member came around, quite sternly telling everyone to get the masks back on, as the people hadnít purchased their food and beverage yet.
The person telling everyone to do this, had the nose totally uncovered by the mask, thus rendering the mask utterly pointless.
This is the problem. Many are too thin, dirty and not worn correctly to be anything other than health theatre. Despite this I suppose even a little helps, if it keeps us open now, but back then I thought it was pointless.
Me, Iím off to London on the train first thing and will be wearing my FFP 2 mask, which are so snug fitting and filtering, they suck in as you breathe. Quite uncomfortable to wear. Then Iíll either walk from Kings Cross or get a Boris Bike.
Interestingly last week I went to London on the train and most did not have masks on. I was in a minority.
Not that I am worried about catching coronavirus, but if we do go to Florida Iím now only 2 weeks away from my test, so needs must! Iím out for dinner, but hoping the invisible restaurant force field protects me there.

We had our PCR tests done by Dam health in Gloucester, ( they have other locations ) results by midnight same day, ours came through 11.20pm

Aye, right. That must be it.

However the truth is America probably has more cases than all of Europe put together.

But what will be will be. Actually I find the whole thing rather boring now and lots of the population need to get a grip. One would think we were facing a military World showdown between China and the West!
