Mobile How important is it to have a different booster vaccine

DD is due a booster in January. She's had 2 Pfizer so far.

I thought I read somewhere that a different booster jab is beneficial ?

Should we be trying to get her a different Vax ? DH &I have had 2 X AZ and 1 Pfizer.

What happened to Novavax ? Haven't seen anything mentioned lately about that one.

Not sure about Novavax but, like you, I turned up for my Booster last week and was given Pfizer after having 2 AZ previously

Novovax is not yet approved in the UK.
Only Pfizer as a full dose and Moderna as a half dose are recommended for boosters at the moment.
There is nothing wrong with having 3 Pfizers but Moderna is available if wanted

Yes but the op was wondering if a different jab to your first was better as in if youíve had Pfizer for the first 2 would you be better with a Moderna booster etc..

I was told by a pharmacist at the vaccination centre that AZ donít believe that a booster is necessary as their vaccine is longer lasting. Thatís why they havenít put it forward as a booster.
Donít know if there is any truth in that
