Air Canada - Heathrow to Orlando via Toronto

Hi all,

I have flights booked for next easter - heres hoping we get to go after it being moved 4 times already!

Anyway, we fly to Orlando with Air Canada, via Toronto. Connection time at Toronto is 1 1/2 hours.

Firstly has anyone experienced this route and similar connection? Is it do-able? I've flown indirect through JFK, Atlanta and Detroit before and all have been ok, however 2 hours through Atlanta was very tight!

Does one plane land at the same terminal as the other takes off from etc? It appears we also clear US customs which is great, but does that take longer etc?

We are flying business class if this makes a difference fast tracking any stages. Anyone have any experience of Air Canada in Business would be great to hear - good or bad!

Thanks!

We flew via Toronto once, took ages to get through. They were holding whole planes-full on a concourse as they said immigration was too busy. We were staying in Toronto for a few days so weren’t trying to make a connecting flight, on our return we had a 5 hour layover so we were fine. Obviously this is only one person’s experience(about 5 years ago). Toronto itself was lovely and I’d go back there any day!

Don't forget that you will need an eta, the Canadian version of an esta if you go via Canada.
