I compared the exact same 14 nights commencing the same date for the same standard room at AKL. The precise date in September, I chose at random. Are you definitely neutralising free nights offer?

Looking at around 6th Sept to 19th September...

This is the 2020 price with 2 nights free (worth around £800 discount):

This is the 2021 price with no discount:

The 2021 price is about £420 more (about 9%) than the 2020 discounted price.

However, removing the discount the 2021 price is cheaper than the 2020 price. And this is close to the 50th Anniversary date.

EDITED TO ADD: Hold on, the 2020 price is for a Club Level Savannah room. There don’t seem to be any Standard rooms available. So ignore my analysis..Sorry.

Thank you. Pretty much what I found for a later date in September, the difference was about £500 more expensive this year than next.

Actually see my added note.

The 2020 price is for a Club Level Savannah room whereas the 2021 price is for a Standard room. There doesn’t appear to be any standard rooms for 2020.

Therefore, the 2021 price is much more expensive.

I missed that. But for the random dates I checked, which were mid September, I was comparing the same category room and 2021 was cheaper.

I had some August 2020 prices with the neutralised free nights. Comparing to what the 2021 prices are coming out as for similar dates AKL is £5pn more in 2021.

Yes, the price was something like £2,700ish with the free nights offer. Without it the price was £3,822 for a standard. I have it tracked as I was comparing the prices when Attraction Tickets first released their prices. Every date I use now only has club level rooms available in Sept 2020 so I can’t share a screen shot.

The same dates for 2021 have a price is £5,278 for a standard view room - that is almost the same cost as a club level savannah view room for 2020.

Wow, just had a quick check out of interest and a standard room at the Beach Club in October 2021 is £446 per night!

It was more like £350 for 2020!

And the same room in 2017 was £270 and it came with free dining back then too.

is the standard rooms out for October then? The dates in May we want it’s only water view rooms out.

Haven’t seen the BC quite that cheap. I have just checked my old invoices and we paid £363 in February 2019 and I know I thought it was a bargain. That was actually the YC but when they have the same rooms available, I generally find they are priced the same or very close. That said I have a December 2020 Beach Club booking for £500 per night but that is club level.
