Everest is definitely a step up from Thunder Mountain, but my kids all love both. If your DS is asking to try it, I'd let him go. It is great

Everest and RocknRoller are my sons favourite rides, he went on both for the first time when he was just 6.

He'll be fine. Or to look at it another way... once the lap bars go down the deal is sealed

EE is faster and you have a weird sensation when it goes backwards, as it does a double helix (like a spiral) but you go up it rather than down like a normal coaster so you feel like you are pitching forwards. I think that is why people find it disconcerting.

I loved it but then I love The Hulk coaster so don't listen to me

If his grandma can ride it, I'm sure he will be fine., it a shame we are not going the same day as I would of loved, to have taken him on this ride.

To me, Thunder Mountain is like being pushed around in a shopping trolley down a cobbled street, whereas Everest is like being sat in a shopping trolley, and having someone let it go at the top of a hill with a few trees in the way!

Its a very tame coaster in coaster terms but its twice as intense as BTM which is really a childs ride IMO.

Its the theming that I love, the attention to detail. Really is worth going on to look at that side of things!
