Agreed having spent many long Sunday evenings driving back from Ramsgate to central London this area is already frequently gridlocked

This has been a rumour for a few years now. I really do hope it happens though!

This is about 15 min drive from me on a good day, on a bad day can be up to an hour and that happens frequently, on the worst day the whole area is gridlocked to the point of not even being able to leave your house so I would rather it was not so near to an area that already struggles with horrendous traffic.

And like others have said they have been talking about if for so Iong most round here don't think it will ever happen.

The South is best place to put it. Better access from airports and Eurostar. The trouble is the fact we are an island. There is no way to drive directly to it from Europe. The population of the UK cannot support it. It needs tourists to even have a chance of working

You are probably about the same distance away as me then.
I can normally get there in about 20 minutes, but yesterday there was an accident on the A2 at the Bluewater junction and it took me way over an hour. That section of the A2 is always terrible every weekday morning, with it taking me up to an hour to do the 10 mile stretch.
