Standard room Port Orleans 5 where am I likely to be placed.

I know there are different types of accommodation in Port Orleans Riverside but I was just wondering where I can expect to be placed... I know I have seen threads about it previously but can't track one down lol...I thought I might ask as to give me an idea of where I may end up.
BTW it is a standard room
Thanks in advance

I know the bayou rooms have 5 bed rooms, so probably there, you could be anywhere in a standard room. Its a nice walk to the restaurant area though, so you will be fine no matter where you are. Have you put a preference down on the MDE app?

Only the bayou rooms have the murphy bed, we are also booked for a standard room and are going to request building 17. If you go on touring plans site it will show you which buildings have standard rooms.

May I ask what the reason is behind building 17...
Also is it better to go for an upper or a ground floor? I would prefer ground but have seen a few people saying they have requested an upper floor...Is there any reason for this?
Thanks

My reasoning for 17 is it's one of the closer buildings to the food court etc but just as close to to the west bus stop (first) as it is to the south (last) also it's reasonably close to a laundry room looking at the map (I'll be doing laundry every 4/5 days, normally after the kids have settled for bed).

We actually requested an upper floor when we stayed at CBR but got a ground floor, the reason for our request was we didn't want to hear people walking above us but actually never heard a thing from them. The only time we heard any neighbours was when they flushed to toilet!

We always request block 16 as it’s the close to the quiet pool, food court and south bus stop. Also we always request ground floor whichever Disney resort we stay at because it’s quicker to get to your room.

I think a lot of people request top floor for quietness but we’ve never experienced any noise from above or lots of people walking past our room on the ground floor. Last year we unfortunately got second floor and it was a pain walking past our room to the stairs to then come back on ourselves (yes I’m lazy).

ETA. I haven’t stayed in any of the rooms with wooden floor yet so don’t know if that will make a difference to the noise above, I imagine it will.

If you aren’t hiring a car, so don’t need to near a car park, building 26 is good. We were in 2649, and could get to the quiet pool and laundry via the walkway of bldg 27. Also very quick to West bus stop and reasonable for the food court.

You'll definitely be in Alligator Bayou. Buildings 14, 15, 18 and 27 are preferred, so you won't be in them unless they give you a nice little upgrade. We were in building 17 which was a good location and only a few minutes walk to everything. We had a lower floor room and didn't hear noise from above, but if you have a heavy footed family above you, that could be different, and the new flooring might also make a difference. The buildings are only 2 storeys, so only 1 flight of stairs if you get the upper floor. We had the upper floor at CBR last year and that was good too
