Southern French Alps and beach holiday?

Has anyone done anything like this?

I really like the idea of staying in the Alps for a few days, going up a mountain in a gondola/ski lift, some rafting and swimming in Lakes and then heading off to a sunny spot by the beach to relax for a week.

I was thinking France but would be open to anywhere in the Alps really. I was looking at the southern end of the Alps as I figured it'd be warmer and I HATE being cold!

I'd love to hear if anyone has done this before as I'm struggling to think of a holiday that excites me for next year.

We have done the Alps in summer - Montgenevre which would be easily twinable with the med.

Have you thought about the Pyrennees and then with Pays Basques on the Atlantic coast or northern Spain!?

Did a week on the Costa Brava in Spain and then went Summer Skiing for a couple of days in Les Deux Alpes on the way home.

We were driving.
