DIY small bathroom makeover

We moved into our current house 2 years ago and my least favourite room was the bathroom.

It was 20 years old, a bit tired and completely lacking any storage space. I hated the ledge at the end of the bath: such a waste of space and it was a dumping ground for clutter.

We had a few quotes done by different builders but it seemed like an awful lot of money to refurb such a tiny room so my boyfriend had a go at doing it himself. He had help from his Dad and the spotlights and the extractor fan were approved by an electrician friend.

Won't lie- it took MONTHS! OH works full time and we have neighbours with young kids so progress was slow. Now that it's (almost) done I'm really pleased with the results.

Total spend was just over £900.

Note that the WDW toiletries have been given pride of place

Very nice. I like the alcove he has formed and the lighting in it. Nice touch.

I was just thinking how I hate my bathroom but it would take us thousands to do and its a tiny room.

Looks good for how much you have spent. I like the alcove. Husband has just installed our en-suite from soak.com too. Really pleased with it for the cost. Service from them was really good too
