Windows Movie Maker Help
Hi,
Dont know if anyone can help me with this, I am not very computer literate but managed to create a movie of our Disney holiday photos and added captions, music etc using Windows XP Movie Maker, I would love to burn this to a DVD to pass onto my inlaws as they were on holiday with us, but having no luck when i try to play the DVD in the DVD player it just says 'unknown disc' although on the PC it is telling me the disc was burned sucessfully? Sorry hope this makes sense and any help (in laymans terms) would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

it may be a problem with the type of dvd you have used. You can get dvd+, dvd- and dvd+/-
I use dvd+ and it's ok. Also, if you use a dvdrw your dvd player might not like that one either. Hope this helps.

You're probably burning it as a standard DVD which is why your player won't recognise the disk. Check the settings of your burning software and make sure you burn it as a Video DVD.

try putting a blank dvd in your drive with no windows open just at your desktop
doing this should open a window with the burn Video DVD option, select this option and you will be able to add your saved video file and burn it as a dvd that will play on your dvd/tv this is how i burn dvd,s with windows 7 not sure if it will work with XP but give it a try |

Could it be a duff disc? My DH had one pack of discs that wouldn't play on our DVD player. When he tried one from another pack it worked fine x
