Not well known shows that are hidden gems
TV programmes that might not be well known but are really good?
I’m going to start with Banshee. Executive producer is Alan Ball from Six Feet Under and True Blood. It’s about a newly released con who takes on the identity of a sheriff in the town of Banshee. Very violent and pretty rude but a very good show.

I don’t know Better Things. Will have a look.
Justified is a good call to try. Passed me by when it was on. I love Walton Goggins. I’m adding another to the list. The Shield. That’s a fantastic show and it’s on Sky Box sets.

I love Banshee...and Justified.
I really enjoyed watching Life in Pieces on Amazon it’s only short episodes split into 4 side stories-I find them funny so have been watching them again to cheer me up! My other recommendation on Amazon would be Patriot it’s a bit slow to start but definitely worth a watch. I’m going to take a look at Better Things as I’ve never heard of that. |

Another one Burn Notice. Recommended to me years ago by a bloke that was obsessed with tv shows that took place in Miami.

better things is fantastic, i'm currently going back through and watching from the start and enjoying it just as much the second time around.
are you watching the current season? the new orleans episode is all sorts of great. on a related note, TREME is worth a watch, it was david simon's show after THE WIRE ended. its a love letter to n'orleans. and on an unrelated note, BRAINDEAD. its the west wing, but with zombies. only got one season before getting cancelled, but its a great standalone show. it was on amazon prime video last time i checked. *edit* loved burn notice too. but i'd watch anything with bruce campbell in! |

We also loved Banshee too, although the two shows are very different
