Mobile Anyone else thinking of planning a day out next month

I started checking train prices this morning, to Birmingham for the second week in July. As our daughter lives near Leicester and we are in the north west it would be so nice to have a meet up, lunch at Brown's and a wander, then maybe a cocktail at Gas Street
I'll hold off bòoking for now though, but can't wait to finally have some normally and meet up with our daughter.

That sounds lovely. I’d like to book a couple of nights at Premier Inn Southampton & Reading so we can visit my in-laws and my mum. Also to incorporate a day out at Paulton’s Park for the kids... when its back open.
More locally (once all shops re-open), i’d like to go to Norwich shopping - its about an hours drive from me but i’ve never been although i’ve always heard what a lovely shopping centre its supposed to be.

Yes! As soon as the hotels open I want to go to Exeter to see my son if he is allowed off base for a few hours 😊🤞

Just been googling a couple of hotels which are taking bookings from 20th July.

I also just did a dummy booking for Premier Inn Southampton airport (20 July). It gave me the option to book but came up with a message saying the restaurant remains closed due to Covid. I assume that means no food of any type, including breakfast. ☹️

Our son lives around 50 miles away and I know that will be our first place to go when we can. As we are in Wales, we can’t travel that far at the moment but it’s definitely our first day out

Incidentally I will certainly be booking with Premier Inn in the future. I cancelled our October booking with them today, and received immediate confirmation that we would get our refund within 10 days. Unlike Birmingham Airport car parking or Holiday Extras who refused refunds 😔 Their loss in the long run

Southampton Cumberland Place PI is open right now - a fair few PIs are open at the moment.

I think they may only be open for NHS staff - I was looking around Manchester the other day and I’m sure it said that until 20th July then open for everyday bookings

We’re in NIreland & I’ve booked an over night stay for 9th July in Dublin’s new hard rock hotel. It’s our 24th anniversary so it’ll be nice to have a meal & a few drinks too.
